Policy:

A. Athens-Limestone Hospital must be prepared to respond to emergency incidents (natural and man made) in the hospital or in the community that suddenly and significantly affect the need for the hospital's services or its ability to provide services.

B. This plan will be modified and updated based on hazard vulnerability analysis and information gathered from critiques of exercise and actual events.

C. Athens-Limestone Hospital will use an all-hazards command structure within the hospital that links to the Athens-Limestone County command structure.

D. Athens-Limestone Hospital adopts the National Incident Management System (NIMS) as its core set of doctrine, concepts, principles, terminology and organizational processes to effectively, efficiently and collaboratively manage emergency incidents. SEE Policy No. EC-408.
